Students Credit Cards

Majority of the people in the US have usually the credit cards. It is a habit to use the credit card and it is impossible to refuse from this habit, as it is also very convenient. Usually people receive their first credit card in the university, when they become independent and have many expenses to cover. The main expenses of the students are: tuition fee, book fee, accommodation, transportation, insurance, etc. some people have part time job, others receive additional financial support from their parents. But majority of them have special student credit cards. Usually the students receive these cards on not very good conditions, as they do not have credit history and credit score. Because of it usually the interest rates are high, the penalties in the case of nonpayment are strict and the lenders require signing the credit card agreement with the cosigner. In the case of nonpayment the cosigner becomes responsible for the debt. But the credit card is “must have” in the contemporary student`s life.
 
If the students will keep all the rules and pay the bills in time, they will establish good credit history and sore and will receive in the future good conditions in the case of applying for different types of loans. It is quite hard for the students to control their expenses and incomes, so the students usually receive so-called secured credit cards. In this case they have limits of the credit and do not have an opportunity to spend much money on unnecessary goods and services.
 
Some people are interested why the credit institutions give the students credit cards. They cannot be sure that the students will use the cards properly and that they will pay the bills in time. But the lenders have two main reasons to give the students credits cards. The first reason is that it is good way to receive new client, as the students usually receive the credit cards from the same lender after graduation. The second reason is that the students are good customers and majority of them pay their debts in time.
