Students Credit Cards

Nowadays plastic credit cards become more and more popular among the people, as it is very convenient tool of financial management. Usually people receive their first credit cards during their first studying year in the higher educational institutions. The students receive many offers from different financial institutions and they have wide range of choice. Each student can choose the most appropriate offer which will suit all needs, wishes and requirements of the particular person. But the students usually do not have the credit history and credit score when they apply for the receiving of the credit card. Because of it they receive usually their first credit cards on not very advantageous conditions. The interest rates are quite high, the penalties for the nonpayment are very strict and the lenders require the students to sign the credit agreement together with the cosigner. The cosigner becomes responsible for the debts in the case of nonpayment of the debtor. Usually the cosigners are the parents if the students.
 
There are many types of student`s plastic cards. They are:

1. Credit card, usually Visa, American express Card or Master Card. These credit cards provide the credit limit about $ 500 – 1000 per months. This condition is very advantageous, as the students receive an opportunity to control their expenses and they cannot spend more than the limit allows. Usually those students, who have a desire to receive this card, must to sign the agreement with cosigner.
2. Debit student`s cards. The Visa and Master Card are the most widespread and popular. This type of card does not require he credit score and history. The credit card provides the client the access to his own money. It is more advantageous, as the students can spend only the sum of money which they really have.

There are three main advantages of the credit and debit cards. They are: you can cover all your expenses with the help of plastic card and it is more advantageous and secure, as you do not have to carry cash with you; the plastic cards can be accepted all over the world.
